Surrey Summer Computer Clubs

ComputerXplorers offers exciting and innovative technology-based activities ideally suited to holiday programmes

Summer holiday clubs 2017

In July and August we will be running two holiday clubs offering ComputerXplorers activities to small groups of Junior School aged children in West Surrey. Our clubs are easily accessible from Surrey, Hampshire and South London.

Locations for our July and August clubs

Woking: Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th July

Holy Trinity Church Hall, Chobham Road, Knaphill, GU21 2SY

Guildford: Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd August

Sutherland Park Memorial Hall, Burpham, Guildford, GU4 7JU (opposite Sainsburys)

The clubs and activities are designed for children aged 8 to 11, but call me if your child is interested but outside of the age range. There will be at least two members of the ComputerXplorers team on site during the day and the children will not be allowed to leave the site, except in an emergency. At each venue we will run from 9.30am till 3.30pm each day.

Computer activities:

  • Micro:bit – making wearable devices
  • Lego robotics
  • Video game programming – Scratch
  • Video puppetry

During each of these activities the children will work individually or in groups, collaborating on joint projects. They need to be prepared to share equipment; however we will remind them that they can contribute to their projects even without their hands being on the keyboard.

Costs per child:

Single day: £45

Both days: £75

We look forward to seeing your children in the Summer holidays.
